This trial is investigating if using a solid backrest on a manual wheelchair will improve posture, function, and mobility, as compared with an upholstered backrest, for people with spinal cord injuries.

- I wear a brace due to orthopedic issues that affect my movement.I use a manual wheelchair full time.My spinal cord injury is complete and between my neck and mid-back.I weigh more than 250 pounds.I have severe shoulder pain that stops me from moving on my own.I can't move enough to keep my pelvis and spine straight.I can't lift my arm above shoulder level.I am between 18 and 70 years old.
- Group 1: MWC Configuration 1
- Group 2: MWC Configuration 2
- Group 3: MWC Configuration 3
- Group 4: MWC Configuration 5
- Group 5: MWC Configuration 4
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
