This trial will examine if Greek yogurt after exercise helps improve health for women with overweight/obesity.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for women aged 18-45 with obesity, specifically those with a BMI of 27 or higher and a waist size over 88 cm. Participants should exercise less than twice a week, have had stable weight for the past six months, and have regular menstrual cycles. Smokers are not eligible.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing if eating Greek yogurt after one session of aerobic exercise can improve metabolic health and muscle strength in women who are overweight. It compares this to a carbohydrate-based supplement given post-exercise.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
There may be minimal side effects related to consuming Greek yogurt or the carbohydrate supplement, such as digestive discomfort. Exercise might cause muscle soreness or fatigue.

Eligibility Criteria:
This trial includes the following eligibility criteria:- I have used oral contraceptives in the last 3 months.I am taking medication to manage my blood sugar or cholesterol.I have a history of heart or metabolic diseases.I have regular menstrual cycles.My menstrual cycles are irregular, shorter than 21 days or longer than 35 days.I am between 18 and 45 years old.

This trial has the following groups:- Group 1: High-intensity interval exercise and post-exercise Greek yogurt (HIIE+GY)
- Group 2: High-intensity interval exercise and post-exercise carbohydrate study supplement (HIIE +SS)
