This trial will test if a brief version of mindfulness-based therapy delivered by telephone can help prevent depression relapse and reduce symptoms in older Korean Americans.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for older Korean Americans aged 55-89 with mild to moderate depression, who speak Korean fluently but have limited English skills. They must not have major psychiatric diseases, severe medical conditions, or a history of mindfulness training. Participants should be able to consent and commit to the study.Check my eligibility

A telephone-based, 8-week MBCT session including: (1) learning mindfulness skills; (2) practicing mindfulness skills in class and at home; and (3) dialogue and inquiry.

This trial includes the following eligibility criteria:- I am between 55 and 89 years old.My serious health conditions have been stable for at least 3 months.I do not have a major psychiatric condition that would stop me from participating.
