Participants will have blood pressure, arterial stiffness, and blood samples (from venipuncture) assessed before and after the nitrate-rich beetroot juice (~12.8 mmol).
Group II: Beetroot juice with nitrate removedPlacebo Group1 Intervention
Participants will have blood pressure, arterial stiffness, and blood samples (from venipuncture) assessed before and after the beetroot juice with nitrate removed.

This trial includes the following eligibility criteria:- You are a smoker or use tobacco products.You have had cancer in the past.You have had problems with your kidneys in the past.You have a body mass index (BMI) of more than 30, which means you are considered obese.You have a history of heart or blood vessel problems.You have a history of diabetes.You do not have any problems with your brain, heart, metabolism, or kidneys, and you are not experiencing any related symptoms.
